I'm looking for an affordable (<$600) A/V receiver with which has full 1080p HDMI video and audio switching? - upconverting receiver audio over hdmi
I understand the receiver very upscale everything. Looking for cheaper with this function. Of course Upconverting to 480p, 720p and 1080i also important. Comments on the audio interface / design is very much appreciated, but honestly, are the audio capabilities at this level far beyond my needs.

I have a store where he bought the speakers from Best Buy, so I paid about $ 400 for him.
It has 2 HDMI inputs, which supports HDMI 1.3, 1080p.

It works, but the interface setup menu is terrible. It has seen me an hour that you could use the remote to use the automatic configuration of the speakers - you must use the buttons on the front of the console, and even then, the really terrible things are inconsistent. For example, a menu, you must click the down button to select the option, but in others you must press the left mouse button (or rather, turn the select button on the left side) - the key input anything. This fact is not particularly meaningful, because it forces you to be in the listening area during the test - the manual says it should not do. (idiots.)
Seriously, has video menu on the display time, but this simple functionality is still something that will never be higher (> $ 1500) receiver end seem to have.
My complaint is that the receiver has only 2 optical inputs, but I have 4 devices, optical audio output (PS3, DVD player, satellite receiver, and 360). One might think that those responsible would be more digital inputs April in their enclosures, but receive more than 2 innings, once again in search of high-end receivers, and even those that only 4 optical inputs.

Amazon.com currently has a sale on the Onkyo TX-SR805 for $ 589.00 that is incredible! I looked in detail at Best Buy and Fry's Electronics for $ 999.99. It's 1080p upconversion, HDMI video / audio switching, and has 3 HDMI inputs. Press something like 130Watts/channel and THX Ultra-certified! Definitely check it out!
